Request: $500-$5,000
Applicant eligibility*: Cayuga, Seneca, Wayne, Yates, or Ontario-based nonprofit organizations or artists working in partnership with nonprofit organizations are invited to apply.
Project eligibility*: Should take place entirely in 2023. High-quality local performing, visual, literary, interdisciplinary and/or multi-disciplinary arts projects that engage a diverse array of the constituent communities. All proposals must show other sources of income for the project, cash and in-kind, that account for at least 25% of the overall budget.
Application deadline is SATURDAY, ARIL 8, 2023 AT 11:59pm

Funding priorities
Competitive projects will demonstrate the ability to identify the community it strives to engage and articulate the proposed methods of engagement in a thoughtful association between the philosophy of the project and said community. Projects should include a clear, realistic timeline that demonstrates the ability to complete the project to scope within the calendar year 2023; engagement of experienced and appropriate personnel, including appropriateness of nonprofit partner; and plans to promote the project.  Auburn Public Theater strongly supports the payment of artist fees that are field and project appropriate.

Applicant eligibility*: Individual artists living and working in Cayuga, Seneca, Wayne, Yates or Ontario county are invited to apply.
Project eligibility*: Should take place entirely in 2023. Auburn Public Theater is able to award, at most,  FOUR Individual Artist Grants per county to individual artists for the creation of a new works that engage their community. Projects must enhance public participation in the arts by directly involving the community in the artist's creative process.

Funding priorities
Competitive projects will address the artist's place in the community and culture; provide evidence of community engagement or interest in the project; explain how the project addresses current local issues; and discuss anticipated outcomes of the project. Applicants must submit work samples that are representative of their past work and that demonstrate their ability to complete the proposed project in order to be considered for funding.
